Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work, active Social Worker license and minimum 1+ years School Social Work experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A key role is available for a Social Worker to support K-12 students within a school setting in the northern portion of Monroe County. This position will be onsite full-time from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday, with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break. The contract runs through May 22, 2026.

Responsibilities:

• Work directly with individual students or groups in classrooms, schools, or community settings to address social, emotional, and mental health needs.
• Collaborate as a team member with principals, psychologists, teachers, and other ancillary staff on student intervention teams.
• Consult with parents, school personnel, and community agencies to support student wellbeing.
• Deliver in-service training and parent education programs.
• Participate as a member of the Individualized Educational Planning Team (IEPT).
• Apply Crisis Prevention Intervention techniques as needed.
• Maintain effective and professional communication with colleagues and community members.
• Ensure regular, predictable attendance and adherence to work policies.

Qualifications:

• Valid Michigan Social Worker license or MI 310 certification.
• Experience working with K-12 students in schools.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to handle sensitive student situations with professionalism and discretion.

Location: Canton, MI (Northern portion of Monroe County)
