Jan Maples

President

Jan E. Maples, President of The Connecting Point, is committed to facilitating training, organizational development, and Human Resources consulting services that are led with civility, respect, and compassion. She teaches people to accomplish unprecedented results, communicate powerfully and produce healthy, working relationships among staff and with clients. With a remarkably realistic, pragmatic perspective and collaborative approach, she assists clients in building organizations that people genuinely want to inhabit.

Jan has a BA in Organizational Communication and 25+ years of experience in the Human Resources and Training/Facilitation professions. She worked for many years as an HR professional inside of several technology based companies before launching her own consulting firm.

In addition to designing and instructing courses for the University of New Mexico, Jan serves as a public speaker, mediator, executive coach, and facilitator. Adventuring internationally, she has taught project management for a Fortune 50 organization. She is a member of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) and the Human Resources Management Association (HRMA).
